Project Description
This 21,000 sq. ft. roofing project is part of the upgrade on the Lake DeForest Water Treatment Plant to remove PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) from Rockland County residences' drinking water. Tri-State's scope of work included installing a fully adhered Carlisle EPDM system. The architects and engineers called for a 30-year warranty with a 130 mph wind rider. In order to achieve this, we installed a VapAir Seal vapor barrier over the metal deck, with mechanically attached 2.6" of InsulBase Polyiso, and 3" of InsulBase Polyiso HD Composite board, and a fully adhered 90 mil. EPDM.
We worked closely alongside the projects GC, J. Fletcher Creamer & Son, to insure a smooth and error-less installation. In the process of completing our scope, the regional Carlisle technical representative came on site to make sure that all materials were being installed properly, and - per usual with Tri-State - was extremely happy with the work of our crews. All three roofs on this project are currently dried in, and we are waiting for the arrival of all rooftop equipment. Once on site, we will work alongside all other trades to coordinate the remaining parts of our scope, including cutting the roof open and flashing all equipment. Upon full completion, the building owner will receive their 30 year no dollar limit warranty.
