OSHA-Certified and Dedicated to Safety
We take Safety Seriously, Both Our Safety and Yours. Roofing is ranked as the third most dangerous job in America according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics and Forbes Magazine (2024). Because of this, all Tri-State Commercial Roofing Corp employees are OSHA certified. All roofing mechanics have at least 10 and 30 hour certifications, while we require all supervisors to have 10 30 and 60 hour certifications. All employees follow our physical safety training as well as our regular Tri-State Safety Education Program. Our employees are our family, and their safety is of our utmost importance. With projects year round, in all different climates with varying conditions, we make sure to go over daily safety briefings at each job-site to ensure that nothing is overlooked. In doing so, we minimize risk to both our employees and our customers.
Protecting our customer's employees, as well as their property, is crucial to Tri-State in order to forge new relationships and maintain old ones. Because of this dedication to safety of everybody involved on a Tri-state project, our workmen's compensation "modified rate" is among the lowest in the industry nationally. Safety is a continued practice, which is why we take every measure available to maintain a safe working environment, preventing work place and job site accidents.
At Tri-State, we do not view safety enhancements as a cost. To our management, it is an investment, with real returns for all of a projects' stakeholders. That is why we do not compromise on safety. Safety equipment is only as useful as the knowledge one has in regards of how to use it. This is why days spent in a classroom, reviewing safety training, are some of the most critical parts of our operation.
Insurance & Licensing
Contractors are required to carry Worker's Compensation insurance as well as General Liability, but many have exclusions that they're not even aware of. Unfortunately, there are also many companies who knowingly operate without the most comprehensive insurances. While this may harm the contractor if there is an incident at a work site, it may also harm the owner of a commercial building even more so. There are many exclusions hidden in policies that only the savviest of building owner's may know to look for.
Most often, owners don't even see a contractor's policy, only a simple certificate that says that there is insurance in place. Falls from heights exclusions are very common in these policies and seriously jeopardize a building owner's property. Tri-State Commercial Roofing Corp has the most comprehensive General Liability on the market, with absolutely no exclusions. We also carry an additional Umbrella policy to further comfort many of our most discerning clients. We simply don't compromise when it comes to protecting either our workers or our customers.
